In the northern frontiers of India, the new state of Uttarakhand is well known. Most part of it is mountainous, inhabited by both the Hindus and Muslims. In the state a distt. known as Haridwar is regarded by the Hindus as a very sacred place. In the main city of Haridwar, the Muslims are not allowed to live, purchase a land or build a mosque. But it in suburbs, there are several towns considerable number. These towns were, initially, inhabited along the bands of the river during the British rule. From the religious aspect, this area has been very backward. Un Islamic customs and practices have been prevailing among the Muslims. Thought by the prayers and heartiest well wishes of some scholars of Deoband like Maulana Husain Ahmad Madini and sheikh Ul Hadis Maulana Mohd. Zakariya, the true faith and dogmas were introduced to the Muslims of the area, but the area, which has overshelming Muslims, was always been neglected by the government authorities economically and educationally.As a result, it is still lagging far behind from otherareas of the country. There is no big and important institution of religious or modern education in the area. The whole area, due to prevailing illiteracy and mutual hatred and jealousy has been in deepest backwardness.
Getting concerned over the situation some scholars and intellectuals of the area, after due consideration and consultation decided to establish an educational institution. Soon, a piece of land, adjacent to the mosque of the village, was purchased and an educational institution was established. The institution which did not bear any particular name rendered its services of educating the Muslim children for a considerable time.
The activities of the institution, intensified gradually. At an occasion, when completion of the academic year was celebrated and the Huffaz were to be given certificates of their completion of Hifz by attiring them with the turban, some senior scholars suggested to name the institution as "Darul Uloom Abraria" after the name of Muhi u al Sunnah Hazrat Maulana Shah Abrar ul Haq(Rehmat ullah alaih). The name was appreciated and approved by all the scholars as well as other people present at the occasion.
After the formal establishment, having trust in Allah a piece of land measuring 10 Bighas was purchased a religion person on debt outside the village for Darul Uloom Abrariya andthere is plan to purchase another plot of similar measurement for Islamia High School, which deserves your attention.
The institute regularly durability deed has come by hand Arif Billah Hadrat Maulana Ibrahim Sb. Pandore maddezillahul excellent Hadrat Maulana Mufti Mahmood ul Hasan sb. Gangohi Rh. & Hadrat Maulana Sheikh Abdul Huq Sb. Madazillahul ali Sheikhul Hadeeth Darul Uloom Deoband. To recollection, there are both educetion arrangement in this period ( Modern education) in Darul Uloom & include programme of Intermediate 80,000 sqft. Land purchased for this programme.

Alhamdulillah, recently religious education: memorizing the holy Quran, Nazra, Tajweed(Art of recitation of the holy Quran eloquently), theology, Persian, Arabic education from class 1st upto 6th class, and Modern Education upto High School are being imparted to the students. We also plan to include secular education upto Intermediate class. For these, we have a piece of land near by Madarsa itself, spreading over about 80,000 sqft. construction work it constantly in progress on it.
This Madarsa ties a strong hope to the generous and well-wisher people of the nation like you. Hence of all Muslim brothers are appealed to pay attention to it and co-operate with it whole-heartedly.
Verily, Allah never lets the reward of the good-doers in vain!
